In an interview, Cliff De Young said that Richard O'Brien (writer/actor in Rocky Horror Picture Show) and Jim Sharmen (director)first asked him to play Brad Majors. Cliff De Young was busy making a television series called "Sunshine" and had to decline. Cliff eventually went on to play Brad Majors in Shock Treatment, the sequel.
