Gene had came up with a script for a movie about a CIA-type agent who has his daughter kidnapped,took it to the producer of the movie Runaway. He was told it wasn't good and then in turn was given to Arnold Schwarzenegger with the same title.

Gene was reportedly offered the role of the lead male,but turned it down do to his schedule with Kiss.
